Here’s the video from the Republican Convention of Piper Palin spit shining Trig Palin’s hair during her mother’s (Alaska Governor Sarah Palin) Veep acceptance speech.
I’ve been waiting to post something on Alaska Governor Sarah Palin until there was more stuff out there to post. Most of what you find is Gov. Palin with her own children, which is fine, absolutely nothing wrong with that. I assumed that there would be more of her with other children, maybe that’s my own sexism showing through. Anyway here are a few photographs of her interacting with children, including her daughter Chloe and newborn Trig.
Sweet! The moment I say I can’t find anything, I surf across this slideshow at the Boston Globe. It scores me a photo of Mayor Rudy Giuliani giving a baby a kiss on page 1 and Republican presidential hopeful Senator John McCain planting one on the cheek of a young girl on page 2. It looks these are mostly from 2007 except for some later photos of Barack in 2008. The slideshow also features former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, Senator John Edwards, Senator Hillary Clinton and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney (but they’re only holding kids). Nice!
Still haven’t found anything of Hillary Clinton kissing children or babies. I did find an image of her holding a child. This is probably as close as I’m ever going to get at finding one. I just find it odd that no one else is doing this during the campaign except Barack Obama. The man is certainly getting quite the mileage out of it.
